We will start a new program to design architecture  throughout the year.

■Thema is 「Love letter」

Architecture is made by designer drawing the design and contractor building it.
The designer gives the contractor the drawing to visualize the picture in his mind.
At that time, what the drawing should be to explain his image clearly?
In other words, the drawing is the love letter which is sent from the designer to the contractor!

In this art school, we collaborate with British design education program “spud YOUTH”.
We are going to draft the drawing of the love letter as the designer,
and make the model of the architecture based on the letter as the contractor.

The love letters and the models are going to be exhibited in “DTC CREATIVE SESSION 2022” held in March next year.
We hope the participants will learn how important it is to communicate considering others through
this opportunity — the exchange and architectural design with the British teenagers.

◎ The Meeting schedule
Eleven times in two terms (six times in the first / five times in the latter)
The first meeting: Saturday/22/5/2021
After the above, once in a month, Saturday, 2:00-4:00 pm（at DTC）
The meeting with the British group on zoom, three times, 6:30-7:30 pm（at home）

Upper elementary grade – students up to 25 years old
* Being able to speak English is desirable
* Attending all meetings is desirable

◎What is spud YOUTH

spudYOUTH is an award winning workshop programme being run for young people aged 12 and upwards who are interested in architecture, urban design and public art. It is a weekly free programme run at spudWORKS in term-time.
